Welcome to the John Jay Events Website!
I’m excited to share this website finally, there’s been a lot of work put into this over the past year. Even though it doesn’t look like much right now, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes and updates will be rolling out quickly to reveal more of the website over the next few months. I hope to share a development roadmap soon that will lay out each phase of the website rollout.
The ultimate goal is for this website to be our single hub for all things event related at John Jay. It’ll be a resource for our clients – both internal and external – to help them plan events and make requests, as well as everyone involved in managing events on campus. We’ll be able to access and share information on event spaces, offered services, and rental rates. All of our forms, policies, workflows and processes will be stored here, along with our financial and activity reports to track how we’re doing. The website will also be an archive for memos and announcements related to events – which leads into the next piece, this update blog.
As updates are made to this website, announcements will be written to detail the releases and posted here, as well as sent through email. Any time there’s a change or update in one of our policies, news about a system or building shutdown, updates from the college or university that affect events, memos about deadlines, etc., you’ll be able to find those announcements here.
I hope that over time this website becomes a valuable tool for everyone involved in holding and running events. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you soon, stay tuned for updates! Thanks!
